All this took place to fulfill what the Lord has said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" - which means, "God with us." - Matthew 1:22
God endured it all, just to be with us.
He didn't have to do it, He wanted to.
God loves us so much, He would do anything so He could be with us.
