But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation - if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. - Colossians 1:22-23a
because of Jesus' death,
we are now holy in God's sight. without imperfection. free from accusation.
but there is a condition.
all that is only possible.. IF:
we continue in our faith
press on in our faith in Jesus Christ. faith in that it was all finished on the Cross.
do not give up and harbour doubt.
be simple.
established and firm
mature and deeply rooted in Christ. a growing and deep relationship with our Father.
do not be superficial, blown about by the wind.
be steadfast.
not moved from the hope held out in the gospel
undaunted, clinging on to the hope of the gospel. never say die. unwavering hopefulness.
do not lose hope, for the gospel promises.
be sure.
