Frank Sinatra sang wrong!

I was listening to Il Divo's version of "My Way", sung in Spanish... and I always remember how much my Godfather loves the song and how many many people around the world sing this tune, and know the words.. even to sing it in different languages!

So i went to check out the words of the song...

"My Way" - Frank Sinatra

And now, the end is near;

And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Was that inspiring? Not really. Why? Because the person who says he has done it his way has most likely missed how to have done it
GOD'S WAY.

During this week quite a number of things have gone awry because some people at work don't do their jobs. Frustrating as it is, I have to be very careful not to do things MY WAY and allow things to get ugly. It is easy to fall into quick anger and forget the goal in which all of us strive to achieve. How do we handle such difficult situations at work and still show ourselves as an example of a believer? We are called to "walk worthy of the calling with which we were called" Ephesians 4:1.

I will always remember this verse that was on a wall in my primary school hall.
"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"
Phillippians 3:14

So brothers, even when things get tough and we are tempted to do things our small way, strive on and walk worthy! Do things GOD'S WAY!
