early i rose for SOL3.
and decided to try Narash's style of MRTdevotion.
easy, it will be. i THOUGHT.
cuz when d-day h-hour came and i was about to assault the objective (mrt carriage).. i was suddenly hit!
by GAO WEI-ness.
ouch.
man down! help! MEDIIIIIC..!
on hindsight it was absurd, but i actually was feeling self-conscious about reading the Word on an MRT train. but God saved me.
first thing i saw was another person reading the Bible on the same carriage.
itsamiracle! thank u, God, for ur encouragement!
so i stood beside my 'bible buddy' and read:
"'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the Lord. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the Lord, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the Lord Almighty. 'This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.'" - Haggai 2:3-5just yesterday at my exclassmateandcurrentchurchmate's birthday party, i was catching up with a formerFCBCmember, and i sensed he had within him several displeasures about the church.
yes, it is true that many are leaving/have left the church.
BUT. before any discouragement or doubt took root in me, God assured me with the above word the very next morning.
it spoke to me with such accuracy. "How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?"
BUT.
the Scripture put forth 3 points:
- Be strong
- And work
- Do not fear
and assured i was.
Being STRONG - ties in with our current theme of being a WARRIOR of Light
And WORK - reflects the 'DOERSoftheWord' principle we always stress upon
Do not FEAR - be ASSURED. his Spirit is with us. do not give in to DECEPTION.
APPLICATION APPLICATION: speak the truth in LOVE to the lost sheep out there for they need the shepherd. i will be there to offer them the door.
i will NOT fear but stand strong and work. for i know we are headed in the right direction. and his Spirit is with us.
HURRAH!
