nip bud not nip tuck

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
- 1 John 1:8

Sometimes we allow the little sins to creep into our lives... Little things that sweep through our mind like habits and create those small troubles in our spiritual lives. Just a little exaggeration, and we are actually lying.... Complaining and "sharing" can become gossip and slander... The thing is, we don't realize that these sins will eventually grow and be exposed as something larger if we don't do anything about it!

HOWEVER...

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- 1 John 1:9

During sermon last Sunday pastor called us to go to God and repent. I will share my application with you guys. The Lord has caused me to reflect on my own character and I see a part of me that is also quite prevalent in my mother. I am very judgmental. The moment you fail to impress or show me your poor attitude or bad character I will write you off rather quickly. And to make things worse, I am not one to hide it... I realized this began already in polytechnic and has become something i accepted as part of my work ethics even in the army. Although some people find it entertaining or they live with it, this is not the kind of example a Christian should be showing to his colleagues and friends. Therefore I repent and have been praying for God to develop in me a greater patience and humility towards my peers. Pray for me okay? Although it might not sound like something horrible, but it is something i have to turn around and am finding it impossible to do with my own strength. Pray that God will give me the strength and wisdom to look pass people's faults and instead help them to change by being an example of the believer in Christ Jesus.

Do you have a small sin you want God to help you nip in the bud?
