The Lord Has Spoken

Throughout the conference i wasnt feeling very well. But i tried my best to stay alert and soak in God's spoken word. At the last session, when pastor Khong was midway in his sermon, God reminded me of the parable of the Sower.

Matthew13. I really wanted to record the audio bible but my voice is too jia lat already so er i'll keep to typing for now.

Warning - Its going to be a long post... try not to just skim through. if not what God wants to speak to you will also be skimmed!
Verse 19.

"When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path"

The path. toink. drop. the seed is on the hard path exposed to the predator. why? because we dun understand. My question...
DO I UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS SPOKEN @ THE CONFERENCE? (*almost shouting*)

"The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away."

Wow. read it again! the rocky places... maybe we went up to the altar just now in obedience. Maybe we are on fire now! yes and i think we are. But but. the key words is BUT!!!!
"But he has no ROOT.." lets see now, in primary school science we learn that the root is very essential to the plant's grow. For nutrients, for vitamin C?, for water esp and the bio list drags on. So what the bible meant when Jesus says no root? i believe its really the root in the word of the Lord, rooted in a real relationship with Christ, rooted in the community that God has placed us in...
Well so are we a tow gay(yummy) which the root is so short it's almost negligible or a catcus that the roots are probably taller than us? The storms will definitely come. why? Because S.A. Tan is not happy at all. He is probably fuming to know that charliebird is so passionate about Jesus, so enthu to share the gospel and see lives turn around! so he has plans. this time it is "plans to break, destroy and to harm you and give you no future!"
So lets buckle up. We're in for that storm. But Jesus is the captain so no sweat no fret!

"The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choked it, making it unfruitful."

Indeed, he who has ears let him hear! The word of God is clear cut. We are going to go back into the place God has put us into. For me its my army camp. For you maybe your school, workplace, construction site, kopitiam, i dunno.. wherever! but the worries of this life is going to come... its creeping up in your mind already. can you see? its about at your nose now. the worries.
"O God, why have you forsaken me(used when there is an approaching SOC training)"
"O God, why my girlfriend dun the lubch me anymore!?"
"O God, why am i failing my Z maths?"
"O God, why i only get 3As when my fren get 4?"
"O God, why is there a rubber tyre around my waist?" (oh this is probably true)
"O God, why why why?"

the worries of this life. question break. eeeeeha. does it matter for eternity?(a wise man once said)
together with the deceitfulness of wealth. the two combine to form a formidable weapon of thorns the devil will throw at each and every one of us.

lastly and i pray its my heart condition now...

"But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown"

How would success look like? Its when we produce a crop. many fold what was sown. be it spiritually or physically. the results will be EVIDENT. but only if and if we understand it and not allow the word to fall on the path nor the rocky place nor in the thorns.

The G12 conference was great. inspiring. awesome. life-changing. my book is filled with juicy stuff on what God is doing amongst us. But when i comes down to the crunch of our lives. when no one is looking... what will you do?

May we prove that what Gandhi said was wrong! wrong wrong wrong. because there is a bunch of people from youthnet FCBC that are on FIRE! ouch!
