i just got back from a sec sch classmate's (and also fellow churchmate) 21st birthday party.
t'was a joy to meet up with some of my secschclassmates whom i haven't seen in ages.
sublime joy effervesced pandemic laughter as secschday-hood was recalled and relived.
DID U KNOW? that i once..:
- sported uberbeng center parting hair
- addressed teachers by their full name just to be rude "oi. Lai Yin.."
- deliberately handed in a blank A Math test to score a zero in defiance
- selected all the 1s in an MCQ test just to see what score i would get (i scored 36%)
- inspired a "Lee Theory" in which i said that a student learned better in a semi-conscious state of mind (i.e. sleeping)
- tried to put footprints on the ceiling
neways..!
in the morning i was led to:
"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!'" - Revelations 5:13and also:
"Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound - May the glory of the Lord be praised in his dwelling place!" - Ezekiel 3:12we've all embarked on a quest to know God. (yes, incaseuduno, we have.)
and i sensed the Spirit was giving me a small glimpse of his nature. that at his very presence, all things must burst out in PRAISE.
i remember a verse that says something like if no one praises God even the rocks will start crying out. pureamusement. who said God wasn't creative?
and so..!
thus simply is our God: DESERVING OF PRAISE.
indeed. it is. so.
and so it is.
O APPLICATION, APPLICATION! WHEREFORE ART THOU APPLICATION?
every morning awakening, instead of just praying for MEmyselfandi and to putofftheoldself renewthemind putonthenewself yadayada, i shall henceforth ALSO praise God!
for he is DESERVING of our praise.
