Proverbs 30

i was wrong. the book of proverbs was not totally written by King Solomon.
All except two. Therefore it must be so significant that it is added to be placed with the King's words.

Proverbs 30. The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh - an Oracle

And what did this significant "extra" said?

verse 17: "The eye that mocks a father, that scorns disobedience to a mother will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures"

Wow. strong words. Its goes on very very interestingly to list down in a three/four format:

  • Three things that never satisfy, 4 that never say "enough"

  • Three things too amazing, 4 that i do not understand

  • Under Three things the earth trembles, under 4 it cannot bear up

  • Four things on earth which are small yet they are extremely wise. hmm.

well. there is much to learn and recieve from this passage but i'll choose to obey verse 17 first!
