meh.
the Holy Spirit led me to read:
"But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety." - Deuteronomy 12:10sounds very blessingful, doesnt it.
inheritance. what does it mean?
inheritance implies 2 things:
- the blessing is already there.
- it is our birthright.
but.
in the scripture, God didnt pluck them from wherever they were and drop them into that land of inheritance.
they had to cross the Jordan with their own two feet and settle in the land.
"you WILL cross the Jordan"
in other words, they had to MOVEtheirlazyasses and CROSStheJordan (noeasyfeat, mind u) in order to enjoy God's blessing.
key idea: OBEDIENCE UNLOCKS GOD'S BLESSINGS
the BLESSINGS are already ours to claim, we just need to RECEIVE them, by OBEYING God's instruction.
sucha simpletruth, but still one we are learning to apply everyday.
is there something God is telling u to do?
OBEY. and Just Do It.
