this was the morning our dear friend XQ moved on.
and my devotion that morning was too intriguing not to blog about it.
for Narash had the same passage for his devotion as well.
from the oft-quoted passage about love,
" It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. " - 1 Corinthians 13:7
we are supposed to be vessels of love, demonstrating the love of Christ everywhere.
but are we? do we?
sometimes we need to ponder again, about what true love really means.
true love always protects.
do we protect each other?
or do we criticise our brothers?
protecting means not running others down.
true love always trusts.
do we trust one another?
do we even trust God?
trusting means not worrying.
true love always hopes.
do we have hope?
for the pre-believers around us?
or even in ourselves? do we think we are hopeless?
hope means not getting discouraged.
true love always perseveres.
are we persevering? in our prayers? in our struggles?
perseverance means not giving up.
i think we need to re-learn over and over again what it is to love.
we need new revelations of God's love to keep us in focus. to remind us time and again that,
we can only love because God first loved us.
