Bartimaeus

Mark 10:46-52

Bartimaeus was a blind man sitting by a road and when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he began to shout "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"

And even though those around him asked him to be quiet, he shouted even more.

Even as I read this, I feel this is what it means to really persevere in prayer till breakthrough comes. A desperate call for God to move. Bartimaeus didn't feel pai-seh, or stop even though people scolded him.
And eventually, he did get Jesus attention - v49 Jesus stopped and said, "Call him."

As a result of him calling on God persistently, and his belief that Jesus could do miracles; he was healed.
