we are called to show proper respect to EVERYONE.
even in the secular context.
for this behaviour is Biblical.
love the brotherhood of believers.
as in the "i will die for u" kind of love.
fear God.
out of proper respect.
if we respect our earthly Dads, how much more we should respect our heavenly Dad.
honour the king.
in our case, it might be honour the government, or any other earthly authority placed over us.
maybe for some it might be honour your PS, PC, OC, or CO?
are we always complaining, or criticising them?
it is time to change.
the first 2 might be easier, and mostly we struggle with the last one.
may we do it to glorify the Lord. to exemplify his perfect love. to demonstrate his good works.
MY APPLICATION: to honour my earthly Mum and Dad. thru simple acts of kindness.
