referring to my previous post on the need for assurance,
i think this is somewhat an answer
the Holy Spirit gave me,
" Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name. " - Philippians 2:9
the way God works -
the principle goes like the first will become last and the last will become first.
somewhere along those lines.
or the least will become the most and the most the least.
or whoever who keeps his life will lose it and loses his life will gain it.
pretty oxymoronic, but that's how God usually works.
so i was reminded of the attitude of Jesus.
of how he was in very nature, God.
able to do ALL things.
worthy of ALL things.
but yet made himself nothing.
taking the nature of a servant.
such humility.
and he was exalted. to the HIGHEST place.
i think this has given me some sort of comfort.
that doing a somewhat more 'humble' course in uni does have its significance.
i felt the Lord's assurance for me was,
don't worry, son. i have great things in store for u, whether u see it now or not. if u just imitate the attitude of Christ Jesus, u will be exalted highly as well.
thank u, Lord.
i shall do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than myself.
APPLIKAYTION: serve my tuition kids. as in bring them treats and stuff. today will be muffins.
