Philippians 2: 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
14Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
Was I complaining today... God is control (vrse13). The question is are we letting God control our lives? If we are THEN, Do everything without COMPLAINING or ARGUING. Why do I not complain or argue? So that I may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.
Let me explore COMPLAIN and ARGUING.
1. Sporean are COMPLAIN Kings and Queens. Am I right or not? Is this culture, right? I guess its NOT. Oh no. Yes, it is a Oh no.. If I do complain and argue, it is true to say that I cant become blameless and pure. 'blameless and pure' I believe refers to being Christlike. Who else is Blameless and pure... Jesus didnt complain or argue. I believe this Crooked and depraved generation complains and argues. But I want to shine like stars. Star- Being a light unto darkness, beautiful and attractive in the night.
2. Always Argue.. Debaters. What is the issue here? They or You? hmmm I believe if you have a issue with alot of them or prone to arguments, you may have an Issue with God. Dont you want to become blameless and pure, children of God without fault? Then why still arguing. Do want your way out of things...
What is God working in you today? Counter-culture? Submission to leaders? Honor your parents? Work in Unity? Humility or false-pride? Your fears and insecurities? When you complain or argue, words that come out of your mouth that flow out at spur of the moment. These are definately not words of knowledge or wisdom. Why waste words when you know God will act according to His goodwill? Let Him do fight. You just rest in Him and shine.
Today
I guess when something went the way not as planned due to some one's mis-direction. I got irritated and started complaining! And went on and on with the flow of my complain. It was so natural. Then the Lord gently reminded of my complaining habit and verse he gave me. Therefore, I immediately curbed it.
Application
Yes, i want to shine like STARs.. That i DONT complain or argue. iF I do, i wanna confess and submit it before the Lord.
